COMMITTMENT AFTER THE ABUSE

COMMITTMENT: What defines a commitment to another person begins and ends with the commitment to ourselves. You need to be accepting of who you are so that you and your partner can then create a context of love and safety. You need to love yourself body and soul in order to reach their soul. You can’t write, paint, play music without giving yourself up to it, if you don’t, you won’t be successful. The same is true with a relationship. you have to be able to attune yourself to your partner so that you become a safe harbor where love, feelings and sex can be expressed freely. Whether it be a gesture, smile, action or silence, there is a moment to moment awareness. You feed each other body and soul. You lift each other up and know you are a better person when you are with them.
